Our Electrical Engineers/Developers are responsible for developing, testing, and troubleshooting current and future Monnit products. You will implement new features as well as fix bugs as they are found, and participate in onsite daily team planning meetings as required. This is a significant opportunity for engineers looking to broaden their scope of skills. You will gain a mastery of Monnit's growing product lines of sensors, gateways and software through a study of the Monnit webpage and other knowledge based pages available to you.


Most importantly, your job will be testing firmware for new products and applications, seeing that the sensors behave as expected as well as assist in characterization of new products. You will need to troubleshoot problems and contribute ideas for problem resolutions and enhancements. You will have the opportunity to thrive on, and take ownership of, challenging projects and introductory design work in both hardware and firmware design for actual products. The Engineering team is provided with detailed focus on execution and quickly demonstrate results, and importantly, integrity, honesty, and punctuality.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Monnit will provide on the job training for our products. Here is some of what is required:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Firmware:

  • C# Language
  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • DOS/Linux scripting

Hardware:

  • Creation of logical schematic capture
  • Module creation
  • Hardware layout with Kicad Software is preferred
