Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS) Utah
Contract 9+ months, LOng Term
Remote work- come to their office a few times a month if out of state.
Target Pay $50-$60 / hour W2
Job Description:
This role is for a professional licensed surveyor who is licensed with State of Utah although you can reside in another state. This company has contracted with municipalities in remote regions in Utah to update property boundaries, easements, "right of way, topographical overlays, and construction layouts.
Some of these older land surveys were done with older technologies which can cause overlapping boundaries. ill review existing legal documents, platting, and surveys then help convert this into newer technologies - and straighten out boundaries/easements/etc lines- which can then be stored and reproduced digitally. Information will then be recorded again at municipalities for public record.
You can travel to work-sites, or leverage the company survey crews to go to work-sites while you work remote.
Required Skills:

• Professional Licensed Surveyor must be licensed in Utah
• 5+ years Land Surveying experience
• Experience with reading and understanding older measurements and converting to newer topographical legal boundaries and easements.
• Experience understanding and reading measurements in

  • metes and bounds
  • roods and perches
  • poles
  • furlongs
• Ideally Associates Degree or higher
• Valid Drivers License for when you may want to go to customer sites

• Take Initiative
• Communicates with customers very well when needed
• Works well in partnership with corporate Civil / Architectural Engineers.
