Reports to: VP X-ray Business Unit Department: X-ray Manufacturing

Job Summary: Owns product quality, cycle time, and Takt execution of production processes from raw materials to delivery to shipping. Leads teams of hourly associates and salaried supervisors to achieve operational targets and improvements. Collaborates with other department managers within the X-ray Business Unit as well as Moxtek departments outside the business unit to determine and meet business objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
  • Lead Production team to achieve KPI goals such as safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, on-time delivery, 5S and RMA mitigation.
  • Mentor and lead activities focused on the career development of supervisors and employees assigned to them.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and ERP reports.
  • Familiar with product construction and application.
  • Thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
  • Lead area continuous improvement activities and projects.
  • Participate in business planning.
  • Participate on project teams and/or assign Production team members to implement new products/processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Management Responsibilities:

Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; identifies individual goals and targets; conducts recurring reviews and identifies opportunities for improvement of team members.

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a BS degree in a technical field or 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, three of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
  • 3+ years of broad technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment
