JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Solder Technician is responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and wiring harnesses in accordance with established specifications and quality standards. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions and diagrams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components using soldering irons and reflow equipment
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Inspect solder joints for quality
  • Perform rework and repair on PCB assemblies as required
  • Assemble wire harnesses, connectors, and cable assemblies
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including inspection and test data
  • Operate various manufacturing equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety and ESD (electrostatic discharge) control procedures

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience in soldering and electronics assembly (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Proficient with hand tools and soldering irons
  • Ability to work with small parts and perform fine motor tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
