Estimator A well respected premier home builder is looking for an Estimator to join their team. This individual will truly play a key role in the company's estimating functions and operations. This is an ideal for a sharp Estimator looking to contribute to and grow within a successful organization. Essential Duties and of the Estimator: Perform quantity take-offs and then price out the project as directed by Purchasing Manager. Manage take-off data by plan within the database structure in PlanSwift and keep current with any architectural modifications to the base plan on an ongoing basis. Responsible for all estimate and data security across the complete CLH plan library. Use a backup plan for loss prevention. Perform lot specific quantity and cost estimates for items that vary by the lot configuration. Develop thorough, timely and accurate estimates, proposals and bid documents in custom option or plan modifications and turn the retail pricing into purchasing within 4 business days. Maintain database with custom quotes. Assign and monitor the activities of other estimators when necessary . Contact subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty service companies for RFPs . Manage Change Orders and Extra Work requests . Prepare cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services that are used by management in preparation of the bidding process . Act as a resource to project management during the award and start-up phase to clarify any issues regarding what was considered in the estimate including materials and methods of construction . Coordinate budgets and schedules for all projects. Oversee the quality assurance of projects. Must maintain client and contractor relations. of the Estimator: 1-3 years of related experience or combination of experience and education. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite . Knowledge of PlanSwift or Bid 2 Win is a plus .
