Instructure is seeking a dynamic VP, K12 Sales with prior experience in a high growth technology sales environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who has built out high performing sales teams and someone who has sold into and is familiar with the K12 space. This role will take on an active role in setting the vision and growth plan for our sales efforts throughout North America. This person will be a great communicator, a strong leader, and an effective mentor. Ideally this role will be based in Salt Lake City, UT but are open to remote options given the right candidate. This role will report to the Head of Sales.What you will be doing: Build upon a high performing, fast growing team. Fine tune the existing sales model and underlying engine. Expand field, inside, and channel sales models. Find new ways to grow. Provide leadership: Be a good mentor; be a good coach; develop your people; make a great culture; communicate openly, honestly, frequently, and transparently; be visibly present; work well cross-functionally; hit plan consistently. Personally be a strong sales person who helps the team drive deals through to conclusion. Here is what you will need to know/have: Minimum 5 years experience running software sales . Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively present data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in building and running a predictable, scalable and cost effective revenue engine. Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies utilizing both inside and field sales . Ability to attract, retain and develop a high performing team. Experience rapidly building out sales infrastructure, including commission plans; sales force automation; forecasting, reporting, and management dashboards; hiring plans, etc. Experience in attracting, retaining, and developing a high performance team.
