Core Duties/Responsibilities

Sr. Recruiter

This is a newly created role within the MRM//McCann West team due to the tremendous growth in the agency. The Sr. Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting the best and brightest future talent across all agency disciplines and will report into the VP, Human Resources Director.

The Senior Recruiter for MRM//McCann will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for all phases of the recruiting and hiring cycle, including consulting with hiring manager to determine/conduct needs analysis, position requirements, and develop a recruiting strategy. Post positions on various sites, source candidates, review resumes, prescreen candidates, schedule and conduct interviews. Track status, prepare offer letters, ensure background checks completed, and prepare on-boarding schedule. Ensure all contingencies are met prior to day of hire and new hire orientation. Continuously explore alternative staffing, sourcing, and selection techniques to align with industry best practices. Pipeline prospective candidates for future hiring needs
  • Analyze recruiting policies and practices recommending changes as appropriate. Prepare and distribute accurate and timely monthly and ad hoc reporting
  • Partner with and provide guidance to Hiring Managers on writing effective job descriptions, researching market appropriate rates, utilizing proper interview techniques, and compliance with state, federal and company guidelines, including training managers
  • Use a combination of recruiting techniques to creatively attract, evaluate, network and hire the best candidates
  • Manage the hiring process by acting as an advocate for both managers and candidates, establish regular touch points and diligent follow through, and provide coaching to hiring managers
  • Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the agency and community
  • May manage recruiting vendors, career/job fairs, temporary staffing needs, agencies and accounts, negotiate pricing/terms and review invoices
  • Assist and work on other ad-hoc projects as needed
Required Experience

  • 7+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a marketing agency environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, creative, and technology
  • Results-oriented, customer-service focused, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching interviewers and scaling hiring processes
  • History of collaboration and making intelligent hiring decisions
  • Well-developed interpersonal and negotiating skills, especially in dealing with compensation and benefits
  • Self-motivator, takes initiative to resolve situations and improve processes
  • Experience in managing a high volume of reqs under pressure with tight timelines
