Job Summary

Job Summary: StorageCraft is looking for a senior level developer to join their cloud services team. This is a strong technical team buiilding a DRaaS product in a public cloud. You should be able to provide technical leadership in the development, implementation, optimization and maintenance of cloud solutions. We're looking for someone to help evolve our cloud capabilities over time, and bring innovative new solutions to market. We work in a highly collaborative, hands-on, team environment creating a learning culture focused on growing our business.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications.
  • Modifying and improving existing systems
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
  • Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Lead and develop best practices for cloud services products at StorageCraft

Required Job Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, MS preferred
  • 10 years' experience in in developing software using languages such as Python and/or C++
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux
  • Sound knowledge of Openstack, ansible, virtualization, docker, terraform, and celery
  • Deep experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Compute Platform
  • Knowledge of web services APIs, REST and gRPC
  • Experienced with agile development methodologies
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and distributed networks
  • Database experience including SQL and Postgres
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with key project stakeholders across the company

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in storage and disaster recovery infrastructure and technology
  • Experience with Git, jira, ceph, rabbitmq, bamboo
  • Experience with releasing projects with CI/CD systems
  • Capacity to work closely with cross-functional groups in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
