CBRE Heery seeks a Program Manager, Controls for an aviation program in Salt Lake City, UT. The Program Manager, Controls oversees all ARP Program Controls processes for construction projects from inception through completion with an emphasis on contract negotiations, review and negotiation of change order requests, change management process, independent change order estimates, CPM Schedule analysis, conflict resolution, and proper and timely close out of the projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Develops, maintains, and validates master level schedules fro project concept through construction completion. Provides costing and estimating, generates reports and presentations. Coordinates with other management representatives in engineering, project and construction management as well as the client. SUPERVISORY No formal supervisory in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks. . Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive US design and construction experience at major hub airports in the US. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing cost, schedule and change management processes for program implementation teams with a minimum of one (1) program at a large-hub airport with a capital program of at least $500 million. The candidate must be familiar with a wide range of project delivery methods (for example design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager at risk). The candidate must have experience managing staff on large, complex construction programs including; project managers and program administrators, cost engineers, cost specialists, estimators, schedulers, office engineers and resident engineers. Must possess the ability to successfully work with multifaceted teams including architects, engineers, subconsultants, inspectors, testing technicians, Construction Managers, General Contractors and subcontractors in a professional and technical manner. The candidate must have experience with and understanding of LEED gold certification requirements. Prior experience interacting and efficiently coordinating with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and other public agency staff, administrators and stakeholders. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related management discipline. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
