We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our Engineering team as a Quality Assurance Team Lead. The Quality Assurance Team Lead serves as lead and most technical team member on creating and implementing testing plans for our software products while working closely with Development teams to ensure delivery of high quality products.
Duties include:
* Participating in the planning, scheduling and execution of all tasks to meet established timelines through the product development life cycle;
* Performing testing tasks such as planning, scheduling and testing software products to ensure products meet design specifications and functionality requirements;
* Verifying through product testing that product meets total quality management limits and standards;
* Assisting product developers and technical support specialists in resolving product defects;
* Creating documentation based on test plans and findings; and
* Serving as a mentor to and providing leadership to team of Quality Assurance Engineers.
The successful candidate MUST possess:
* 1+ year experience in team lead/leadership role;
* 5+ years experience in software quality assurance;
* Bachelor*s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, similar area or equivalent work experience;
* Experience with developing test and resources plans;
* Experience with Unix;
* Experience with QA automation
* Experience in two or more of the following technical areas preferred:
o Databases: Enterprise DB, Oracle, DB2
o App Servers: JBoss, OC4J, Websphere, Oracle Apps
o SQL, PL/SQL, XML
o Linux, Windows
o Java
* A good understanding of formal quality assurance methodology;
* Experience with Retail, POS systems preferred;
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Strong leadership skills; and
* The willingness to learn and grow in a retail software environment.
